Nature Reclaims

We humans like to expand our urban landscape. But always at the expense of the environment. The force of Mother Nature shouldn’t be underestimated though. When humanity withdraws, nature will recover and reclaim what was hers.

Elegância Invadida

An air of melancholy hung over the scene, as tangible as the mist that clung to the distant hills. The once-grand manor, now a shell of its former self, evoked a bittersweet nostalgia for a time long past, its crumbling walls whispering tales of forgotten revelry and faded opulence. Guardiani del Ponte Perduti

Two magnificent arched pillars, their Moorish-inspired design a striking contrast to the surrounding landscape. These architectural sentinels once supported a grand wooden bridge, constructed in the 18th century. For decades, this bridge served as a vital link across the river, facilitating the exchange of goods and ideas between communities. Towering Dimensions

A peculiar folly tower, constructed of fiery red bricks, reveals the secrets of its time. Its Neo-Gothic figure and intricate architectural features harken back to a bygone era. The contrast between the red masonry and the lush vegetation creates an enchanting image. Its presence in the vast, misty field unveils a hint of another dimension, where the boundaries between past, present, and future blur.

Serre Magique

Nestled in the French countryside, amongst the flourishing vineyards, is an old, abandoned greenhouse. Its iron details twist and curl. Beneath a round veranda roof, overspread in soft moss, shelters the door an exquisite, colorful lead light glass door. It's a sight as beautiful as a poem, as if it were a gateway to a magical realm. Cheile Orzei

Nestled in the northern region of Scropoasa Lake, amidst the picturesque Bucegi Mountains, lies a natural wonder. The magnificent Cheile Orzei. These stunning and narrow gorges are amongst the most breathtaking and captivating valleys in the entire Lalomița region. Split up over a length of more than 1.5 kilometers, the sheer limestone cliffs rise majestically beside the flowing waters below. As you journey along the river, you may come across some abandoned dams that still control the power of the flowing waters.

Villa Nottebohm

This characteristic house is a typical example of an early 20th-century country house that could be found in the forest-rich surrounding area of Antwerp, Belgium. It was built as a country retreat for the wealthy Nottebohm family. The family occasionally visited it during the holidays. The villa was located on the outskirts of a small village. Surrounded by forest the atmosphere was very serene. Check out the full report for more pictures and the story behind the shot.

Victorian Greenhouse

This romantic greenhouse was part of an enormous villa. The villa had a rich history dating back to the 18th century. It was owned by multiple rich families who eventually sold it to a group of investors. It now is in horrible shape. Multiple attempts have been made to restore it, but they all failed. The actual greenhouse was added in the 19th century. Compared to the villa it was still standing strong. Check out the full report for more pictures and the story behind the shot.

This historic 17th-century mansion has known better days. Besides decades of abandonment it suffered multiple fires, collapses, and has been completely looted. A near unrealistic sight stepping into the courtyard of this abandoned monastery. Almost fully overgrown with ivy plants. The time of the season added some incredible colors to the scene.
