Admire this stunning neo-gothic hunting castle hidden in the Romanian countryside! The Castle was originally built in the mid-19th century by a former bishop who fled to Transylvania after the revolution.

Decades later, his nephew transformed it into a hunting lodge, adding the beautiful ornate turrets. After WWI, a Romanian boyar bought the estate and became beloved by locals, building schools and churches. The castle was nationalized by the communist regime in the mid-20th century and stripped of its original furniture and Knights' Hall treasures. In its last decades, the castle functioned as a tuberculosis sanatorium for over half a century.
Now it sits abandoned, slowly being reclaimed by nature. 🌿
