This spa resort was built in the early fifties together with a lot of other sanatoriums and hotels in the area. It's partly still operating. The resort has been closed for a while but a few years ago, it was renovated and reopened. The remarkable thing is that only the left-wing of the resort got renovated. The right-wing was still in the same state after it's closure aside the decay that took place along the years of course.
Stalin himself enjoyed visiting the town and its resorts. This one in particular. Inside the resorts bathhouse, a private bath was present for the Soviet leader. Within the resorts hotel, he also had its private room. It was still pretty tidy; being looked after it seemed considering it was located in the abandoned part of the resort.
