These cottages always remind me of something out of a fairy tale. With wooden decoratives covering nearly every square inch. The motives used to decorate the cottage are typical shapes of traditional Slavic culture.
The history of the cottage is unknown to me. But it probably was built somewhere at the beginning of the 20th-century. Because it is in a rural area, it might be used as a vacation home, a.k.a. dasha. A spot for a family to spend the holidays and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. A well-known aspect of Slavic culture.
A house with a lot of character. It maybe could use a layer of new paint some would say. But the main structure and especially the roof seems in good condition. I wonder what the future will bring for this home. Hopefully, someday someone will see its potential and bring new life into this forgotten beauty.
