With its enormous scale, Hotel Imereti was certainly one of the biggest hotels in Tskaltubo, Georgia. It was built in the early fifties together with a lot of other sanatoriums and hotels in the area.
At the moment the building is heavily decayed. Plans are made to investment around 13 million dollars turning it into a fully functioning hotel again. After the renovation, the hotel should offer 277 rooms. Nowadays most of them are still occupied by IDP’s from Abkhazia.
