The history is of this cloister is quite exceptional. This because most of the materials are from another cloister that was located several tens of kilometers away. When a well-known poet bought the cloister in the middle of the 19th-century. He had it moved to the spot where it's located now. It was transported and build up again piece by piece. A very delicate operation.
According to a plaque on the wall of the cloister, the original build took nine years and was completed in the middle of the 14th-century. The rebuild of the cloister on the new estate took three years. It is made up of 36 white and gray arches made out of marble. The Catalan Gothic style in its architecture is very clear.
