Build in the late 19th-century the landowner had it constructed for a very special reason. To host the ruler of the French Empire; Napoleon Boneparte. This was required in order for him to be named Count of the region.
But during its construction, the Empire fell after its defeat by Prussia. This also prevented the castle from being completed. Luckily a few years later another architect finally finished it.

The castle is encircled by four towers of various shapes and sizes with some having pavilion roofs and battlements. It also features a few balconies and pinnacles on top of the facade. All and all a castle that was constructed to dazzle its visitors.
During World War II the region got invaded by a new enemy. The chateau even burned down during this period. Sadly it never was restored and has been decaying ever since.
