Among tall trees, this gothic revival styled chapel is hidden. The chapel was built close to an abbey which was founded in the late 12th-century. It functioned as one until the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century. Its exterior is in good shape but inside a lot of degradation took place. Some sections of the big neo-gothic stained glass windows were missing. Along with all its furniture. I'm not sure how long it's been abandoned. Considering its state it would be for quite a while.
The chapel from a bird's-eye view. I was just able to frame the shot with the drone hanging between the tree branches. Not able to fly backward anymore.
The floor was gone. Or it was buried beneath rubbish and dust.
It was raining throughout my whole visit. 🌧 That explains the blurry rain drop in the shot.
From the road, you would almost miss it driving by hidden begin the trees.
