Located in a serene oasis, this wonderful palace was constructed in the 18th century by a well-known caïd at the time. For the construction of the palace the caïd called on an Italian masons master, Tunisian craftsmen and Moroccan decorators. The palaces architecture style got inspired by the heritage of the Medina of Tunis, Roman columns, Ottoman arcades and Andalusian earthenware.
At some point in history the palace became vacant. Considering its condition this was a long time ago. Unfortunately, the palace is deteriorating rapidly these days.
