Surrounded by green hills and ancient villages, this wonderful 15th-century church is slowly turning into a ruin. From the road, one might just spot the red-tiled roof sticking above the treetops. But most would probably not even notice its presence.
The history of the location dates back to the 13th century when it was mentioned for the first time. Probably founded by the Benedictine monks who also build a similar church nearby. Somewhere in the 15th-century, it was completely rebuilt to the structure as it is today with some final alternations in the Baroque period that followed.
Nowadays it's sadly in pretty bad shape. Especially the interior that has been vandalized heavily. But even though it's bad condition it remains a wonderful sight located in this picturesque Italian landscape.
The below video is my first try-out of bringing a still capture to life. I've split up the photo into layers and placed them in a three-dimensional space making it possible to move around the scene. After adding some sound design I'm really happy with the end result.
